It was very early morning when Mr. A and I heard our doorbell ring. You could imagine our surprise when we opened the door and saw who it was.
“Oh DP, you had us a little worried. Luckily you came back in time and we didn’t have to bother the TG!”, I exclaimed. “Where have you been? You look… well never mind that… you must be exhausted and hungry. I bet what you need is a nice cup of tea.”
DP didn’t say much as he gobbled down some breakfast and sipped his tea.
He was feeling much better by the time Mr. A insisted that he should enjoy a little American Football before leaving.
Of course, throwing the football around didn’t last too long and the first chance DP had (when Mr. A was busy chasing after a loose ball and had his back turned), he headed back inside the house to relax.
Being “well read” and all, DP decided to do a little “light” reading to calm himself and settled with “Six Easy Pieces” by Richard Feynman.
After reading a few pages, DP’s head was spinning and had to conclude that the “Six Easy Pieces” were not so easy after all. Was there even a point to attempt the second book, “Six Not-So-Easy Pieces” by Feynman, DP thought. He skimmed through a few other books that happened to be lying around…. but they just made him even more DIZZY.
“I think I better get some good ol’ fashion shut eye, before my departure tomorrow”, DP said. So we prepared a special
box room for him and included a few special items to make him feel more at home.
Before we could even turn the lights out, DP was fast asleep and snoring.
The next morning came in a blink of an eye. We were a little
happy sad and just a tad relieved when the mailman arrived to pick up the package that we had somehow managed to receive by mistake.
“Safe Travels DP!”, the Amazing Family sang as the mail truck drove off!
